Thailand’s introduction of the “Destination Thailand Visa” (DTV), a new visa specifically designed for digital nomads and international students. This visa allows remote workers to live and work in Thailand for up to a year, providing a unique combination of work and cultural experiences.

The DTV, which costs 10,000 Thai Baht, is aimed at freelancers, remote workers, and those participating in cultural activities such as Thai cooking courses, Muay Thai training, and other activities. It also extends to the spouses and dependent children of DTV holders, making it a family-friendly option. The visa allows for a stay of up to 180 days, with the possibility of extending for another 180 days.

Additionally, Thailand is improving its policies for international students by allowing graduates to stay in the country for up to one year to search for jobs, removing the pressure to leave immediately after completing their studies.

Thailand has also introduced measures to boost tourism, expanding visa extensions to 93 countries and territories, allowing stays of up to 60 days. A 15-day visa on arrival is now available for travelers from 31 countries.
